Original description: "Houses underwater in Woolloongabba, Brisbane during the 1893 floods. Deshon Estate in Woolloongabba. the floodwaters have completely inundated the low lying ground. Date 1893."

This photo could have been taken near what is not known as Langlands Park, possibly looking towards Villanova College's Catholic Church, visible in the the background.

Floodwaters rise in the heart of Ipswich, January 1887. Spectators holding umbrellas, stand on high ground outside the Ipswich Furniture Mart to observe the rising floodwaters. Some shops and houses are inundated and a rowboat appears to be carrying a passenger to safety.

Water from the Brisbane River stretched well into Milton. Looking across the river, South Brisbane seems a long way away. This photo may have been taken on one the hills on Milton Road.
